The Daniel Defense AR15 Lite RailTM 12.0 is the next advancement in the free float rail systems. It weighs only 14-oz  with a steel barrel nut. The Daniel Defense bolt up design allows for a uninterrupted top rail. The opening in the top rail allows for a front sight post to protrude from the rail, but still utilizes the space in-front and around the sight. The rail is designed for the standard carbine gas system.
